Affirmation LGBTQ Mormons Families & Friends

International organization that creates communities of safety, love and hope for LGBTQIA+ current and former Latter-day Saints, their families and friends. Affirmation promotes understanding, acceptance and self-determination and provides opportunities for community, education, fellowship and support related to faith, family and LGBTQ+ identity.

Association of Welcoming & Affirming Baptists

The Association of Welcoming & Affirming Baptists supports Baptist churches and communities in becoming and remaining welcoming and affirming of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. AWAB provides educational resources, networking and support for inclusive Baptist congregations and ministries.

Beloved Arise

National mentorship and support organization for LGBTQIA+ youth of faith. Beloved Arise creates affirming spaces where LGBTQ+ young people can explore both their faith and identity through mentorship, community, educational resources and youth programs. Resources represent multiple religious and spiritual traditions.

Brethren Mennonite Council

Brethren Mennonite Council for LGBT Interests works to support LGBTQ+ people and their families within Mennonite and Church of the Brethren communities. BMC provides education, advocacy, community-building and resources to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion in congregations and faith communities.

DignityUSA

National Catholic organization working for justice, equality and full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people in the Catholic Church and society. DignityUSA provides community, worship, education, advocacy and opportunities for LGBTQIA+ Catholics and allies to connect locally and nationally.

Emmaus LGBTQ Ministry
An LGBTQ+-affirming Latter-day Saint ministry that fosters and supports ministry to and with LGBTQ+ people and their families “in and adjacent to” The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Emmaus builds community among LGBTQ+ and heterosexual/cisgender Latter-day Saints and provides opportunities for fellowship, devotionals, education and mutual support, with a focus on the safety, well-being and inclusion of LGBTQ+ people.

Eshel

Organization that supports LGBTQ+ Jews and their families in Orthodox and traditional Jewish communities. Eshel provides community, education, retreats, programs and resources and works with traditionally observant Jewish communities to create more welcoming spaces for LGBTQ+ people and families.

Fortunate Families

Catholic family, friends and allies ministry that supports LGBTQ+ people through accompaniment, education and bridge-building. Fortunate Families works with families, parishes, schools and Catholic leaders to foster respectful dialogue and help establish welcoming LGBTQ+ ministries in Catholic communities.

Freed Hearts

Affirming Christian-based organization that provides free resources, education and community for LGBTQ+ people, parents, families and allies, particularly those navigating non-affirming religious environments or reexamining long-held religious beliefs. Resources include courses, podcasts, books, videos and online community.

Friends for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Concerns

North American Quaker faith community that affirms LGBTQ+ people and gathers for worship, fellowship and mutual support. FLGBTQC currently offers online worship and community resources and works to advance LGBTQ+ inclusion within the Religious Society of Friends.

Gay and Lesbian Vaishnava Association-GALVA – 108

International organization providing information and support for LGBTQI+ Vaishnavas and Hindus, their families, friends and allies. GALVA-108 offers faith-based educational resources related to gender and sexual diversity within Vaishnava and Hindu traditions and opportunities for online community and connection.

Guidance for Families with LGBTQ Children to Prevent Suicide & Increase Well-Being for Current and Former Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Evidence-based family education booklet that provides guidance for parents and families to prevent suicide and other serious health concerns and to increase well-being for their LGBTQ children. This publication is a Best Practice resource for suicide prevention in the Best Practices Registry for Suicide Prevention. Other secular versions are also available in English, Spanish and Chinese.

Jewish Queer Youth

Mental health organization that supports and empowers Jewish LGBTQ+ teens and young adults, with particular expertise serving young people from Orthodox, Chasidic, Sephardic and other historically non-accepting communities. JQY provides mental health support, community programs, events, referrals and resources for young people and families.

Keshet

National organization working for LGBTQ+ equality and belonging in Jewish life. Keshet provides education, training, youth and community programs, leadership development and resources to help Jewish institutions build LGBTQ+-affirming communities. Its Equality Directory helps LGBTQ+ Jews and their families locate participating Jewish organizations and clergy.

Mama Dragons

National nonprofit organization that supports, educates and empowers mothers of LGBTQ+ children. Mama Dragons provides peer-led communities, parent education, classes and resources to help families create affirming homes and support, celebrate and advocate for their LGBTQ+ children. Mama Dragons was founded by mothers who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has expanded to include mothers from a wide range of backgrounds.

More Light Presbyterians

National organization that centers and celebrates the lives, gifts and leadership of LGBTQIA+ people in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and beyond. More Light Presbyterians provides resources, education, community-building and support for congregations and ministries seeking to deepen LGBTQ+ inclusion.

Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity

Organization that supports, empowers and connects Trans and Queer Muslims and values-aligned community members. MASGD provides virtual community, educational programming, organizing and skill-building opportunities, and culturally responsive resources designed to strengthen belonging and support within Trans and Queer Muslim communities.

Muslims for Progressive Values

Muslim organization promoting an inclusive and progressive understanding of Islam that supports gender equality and full inclusion of LGBTQI+ people. Muslims for Progressive Values provides educational resources on Islam and sexual and gender diversity, LGBTQI+ Muslim resources and culturally responsive materials for mental health providers and communities.

New Ways Ministry

Catholic organization that works to build bridges between LGBTQ+ people and the Catholic Church through education, dialogue, spiritual and pastoral programming and advocacy. New Ways Ministry provides resources for LGBTQ+ Catholics and families and a searchable listing of LGBTQ+-supportive parishes.

Online Faith Collective

Online directory of LGBTQ+-supportive worship and faith services representing a range of denominations, faith traditions and spiritual communities. A project of Parity, the Online Faith Collective helps people locate affirming online opportunities for worship, spiritual connection and community.

Outreach – An LGBTQ Catholic Ministry

Catholic LGBTQ+ ministry and online resource that celebrates and elevates the experiences of LGBTQ+ Catholics. Outreach provides articles, reflections, news, spiritual resources and information about ministries, events and support for LGBTQ+ Catholics, families and those who minister with them. Founded by James Martin, S.J.

Q Christian Fellowship

Christian organization that cultivates radical belonging for LGBTQ+ people, parents and allies through an annual conference, community groups, a Parent Summit and theological, educational and crisis-support resources.

Rainbodhi

International spiritual friendship community for LGBTQIA+ Buddhists and people interested in Buddhism and meditation. Rainbodhi offers meditation, teachings, discussion, social events and community in safe, affirming environments and provides resources on LGBTQIA+ inclusion in Buddhist communities and slinks to LGBTQIA+-affirming Buddhist groups internationally.

Reconciliation Works: Lutherans for Full Participation

Independent Lutheran organization that advocates for the full welcome, inclusion, equity and participation of LGBTQIA+ people in Lutheran churches, congregations and communities. ReconcilingWorks provides education, training, resources and support to help faith communities deepen LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

Reconciling Ministries Network

Reconciling Ministries Network provides community, education, resources and support for individuals, congregations and ministries in the United Methodist Church committed to LGBTQ+ inclusion and intersectional justice.

Unitarian Universalist Association LGBTQ Ministries

The Unitarian Universalist Association provides LGBTQ+-affirming resources for congregations, religious leaders and individuals, including its Welcoming Congregation program, worship and educational resources and guidance for strengthening LGBTQ+ inclusion in Unitarian Universalist communities.

United Church of Christ LGBTIA+ Ministries

The United Church of Christ’s LGBTQIA+ Ministries provides resources, education and support to advance LGBTQ+ inclusion in UCC congregations and ministries. Its Open and Affirming program helps congregations and other church settings make a public covenant of welcome and inclusion for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions and provides a way to locate Open and Affirming UCC churches.

Unity Fellowship Church Movement

Global faith-based movement rooted in African and African-American spiritual traditions and dedicated to the liberation and affirmation of LGBTQIA+ people. Unity Fellowship Church Movement provides inclusive worship, community and fellowship through churches and smaller faith communities and affirms that “God Is Love and Love Is For Everyone.”
